A Day at the Zoo...

Mama Vi and Baba Bill were in town this week. We had loads of fun... Since the weather wasn't too terribly hot, Daddy thought it might be worth a trip to the zoo. This was my second time there and well, I really think I have something in common with the monkeys. They scream and clap their hands when they're hungry, they climb on everything in sight, they enjoy eating bananas and shrill with delight when fed, and they walk kind of funny... that Darwin guy was no dummy.

I'm running through the house these days, usually with some sort of object in my hand. My favorite accessory is my Dora cell phone. I like to think it adds to my princess ghetto style. Thoughts?

So, my Auntie Maria is *very* pregnant right now. That's her on the left in the bottom photo . We had a shower for her at my great Aunt Evelyn's house. As you can see from the photos, there were loads of people there to celebrate my new cousin's soon arrival. Cousin Caden was also there in his cool shades and cargo pants. I gave him tons of kisses and poked at his belly button. He is a chub just like I was!

My best friend, Lily Govenar, had her very first birthday this past weekend. It was SO much fun. She ate an entire chocolate cupcake all by herself! Here are some pics from her big day!

My second Fourth of July... this one I was actually big enough to sit up on my own and wave an American flag (or chew it) with all the patriotism I could muster. We had a pleasant bbq at our new neighbor's house on 38th Street and then strolled down to the 42nd Street parade. I think next year I might have to decorate my wagon and join the army tanks that rambled down the street. Apparently, there isn't a shortage of United State's army tanks...they have enough to spare for the two block East Sac Fourth of July parade. Go figure.
