Folsom Zoo Sanctuary for Feral Cats

No people, I'm not joking. Feral cats were the first exhibit at the lackluster Folsom Zoo today. We moved on to peacocks, some black birds and a couple of wild boars... M&D were less than pleased carting us around in the heat, beautiful day today! We finally hit the jackpot, though, with a fabulously large and consequently hot, grizzly bear. Here are some shots of our adventure. Happy Saturday!

Rain, rain go away...

Our Hoosier guests have left us and the rain has started up again after a few days of 75 degree, beautiful weather. boo :( Stella and I have taken to building forts and beds in the kitchen while Mommy cooks. Please, Mommy, can't I sleep on the kitchen floor just tonight? ;)

Hoosiers in the House

Auntie Kristina, Uncle Jason and cousin Evan came to sunny California for some family time this past week and boy did we have fun. Cousin Evan is 10 years old and quite the "big boy," but he still played dolls and helped me dress my build a bear, proving to be a spectacular cousin. He even let Sissy throw balls at him. What a trooper! Auntie Kris and Uncle Jason spoiled us rotten with new Easter books and some sassy new clothes. Thanks for coming, guys, we love you!!!! xoxo Stella & Vio

Daddy Time

We love Daddy so much and don't get to play with him all week because he's hard at work so today we took FULL advantage of "Daddy Time." We played soccer outside, watched Tinkerbell the movie and ate all sorts of junk food. Perfect Daddy day! Mommy just sat back and watched with a smirk on her face as Daddy tried to tame Sis and I as we brawled over dolls, balls and cheese puffs. Happy Saturday!

A Little Piece of Utopia

So, Stell and I had quite the weekend. We had dinner last night at our respective BFFs' house (Lily & Annabel) and then woke up the next day only to find out that we were heading to Funderland for the day. I mean, really. It was so amazing. Lots of questionable characters parading about with their 5+ children, but the rides were serious fun. Granted, some of the rides looked a bit "broke" and warranted massive face lifts, but nothin' a little super glue and a sturdy seat belt (ie. bungy cord looking thing) couldn't take care of for a quick trip. Thank goodness for cheap and quick insta-fun. Mommy and Daddy likey.

Love, Violeta :) xoxo

Slamson and Fast Break

SO, M&D took me (minus Sissy) to the Sacramento Kings/Indiana Pacers game last night. Sure, it was bordering on negligent parenting, considering the hour the game started (7pm) and the fact that Daddy let me eat an entire hot dog, but something every kid needs to experience, right?! My fave part, as if you couldn't have guessed, was "Slamson's" entrance onto the court (albeit a bit cheesy and hard to watch) and the classy and provocative dance moves of none other than "Fast Break" the Kings' notoriously bad cheerleading squad. I danced right along with them and told Mommy, "I can see their belly buttons!" Mommy quipped, "Don't look too closely, my dear." All in all, a fabulous evening with the 'rents. Here are some pics of my second ever Kings game at Arco Arena. Go Kings!
