The Princess and Her Throne

So, I've taken to sitting in chairs lately. I like to show Grampy that he's not the only one out there with a big kid chair. My sit down maneuver is a complicated one, but I do manage to finally rest my behind... at least for a few minutes before I slide off.

Story Time at Kindermusik

That's me in the pink sequin skirt. Just chillin' as I listen to Ms. Cathy read one of her many Kindermusik-approved literary selections.

Ms. Cathy begins to sing "Story Time" and my heart is a flutter. I hop a squat and resume position for what I can only predict to be a thrill-a-minute baby book. You know the kind-- 3D, touch and feel. Simply the best. Nobody is taking my front row seat... and if they do, watch out. I'm not opposed to body blocking, as you can see from the pics.

I hosted a fam dinner at the casa on Sunday night. Baby Ben came over and showed us his latest milestone-- sleeping through loud, obnoxious laughter... welcome to a Gonsalves-Kinney night. Uncle Dave changed my cuz's diaper with a speed most fathers envy while my mom compared her growing belly to my uncles' (brothers McGonsalves) sleek physique.

Yes, Benjamin, he's my cousin.

Vanity Fair hasn't contacted my aunt and uncle yet for Ben's rollout, but his time will come, Suri Cruise! 1 week old this Sunday.

Always a Flower Girl, Never a ....

Okay, so I'm now encroaching upon my second Flower Girl experience. I will be in "Auntie Sophia's" wedding this coming December. Watch out, ringbearers... this vixen likes to dance and kiss.

Being the intimate soiree that all Greek weddings are (450 of Aunt Sophia's closest friends and family. Ie. Mother of all weddings), I will be one of 4 flower girls... Who's counting, though, folks? Not I, said the fly. No, I will be there diva'd out and ready to par-tay with the under-2 posse. Thanks, Auntie Soph, for including me!

a new cousin! Benjamin David Gonsalves was born on August 12th at 7:30am, weighing 6lbs, 2oz. He is super cute and very small... I think he needs to plump up a bit. I am going to teach him how to eat like a champion. I might even share my cheerios with the kid.
